- We found their place on line, as we had read about the Salton Sea and just had to see it. As other people have mentioned, it is an older property, but very clean and well maintained. It has very comfortable beds, spacious rooms and much has been remodeled. It also has a communal room which contains a refrigerator/freezer, a microwave and a small baking oven, which came in handy. It was built and run by Gary's grandparents, Ray and Carol, and Gary shared some fascinating stories with us. Gary and Roxy are truly some of the nicest innkeepers we have ever met. They went out of their way for us while we were there and we would definitely have stayed longer had we had the time. They fixed us up so we could bbq on the back patio, providing everything we needed except the food! This property is centrally located to many other destinations, including Joshua Tree National Park. It has a fantastic sky to view the constellations. It's very quiet, and we loved the entire experience and will definitely be back. Thanks so much for your hospitality Roxy and Gary! Remember, mi casa es tu casa!

- I decided to check out the Saltan Sea area the night before last. I phoned up the motel the night before, and they had a room available. There are two units, one on top of the other. I had the upstairs unit, which sport a rooftop deck with a view of the mountains and the sea. The downstairs unit is a bit larger, but both have two queen-size beds. The motel is a five minute walk from the jetties on the sea's shore. The vantage from the jetties is amazing for sunset views, and also for star-gazing, once the sun goes down.
The A/C unit is ample enough to keep one comfortable, there's a shared fridge downstairs, and the hosts are friendly, informative, and accommodating. I'll definitely stay there when I revisit the area.

- Me and my husband, and a couple of friends went up for the weekend.
And the hotel was amazing!! We got in kinda late the lady who checked us in was super nice she put another log on the bonfire for us!! From the moment we got there we felt so welcome! If anyone is think of going I say please stay here!
The next morning as we was packing up to leave the the husband got to talk to us , he was super nice also! We told him we are coming back to stay another weekend and he said he would pull out his old records for us .
The hotel is so clean! You can even smell how clean the sheets are! We did not find one thing that was bad . Oh and they even had the coffee pot set up for us ! All I had to do was push the button and I had coffee! The rooms were so beautiful. I can’t think of much more to say about how great of a stay it was but trust if you stay there you will not regret it at all!! Thank you guys for the hospitality!!
